Encore Boston Harbor Casino was home to a cheating scandal this week when a local casino dealer teamed up with two others to cheat the house out of $23,500.
A local casino dealer in Boston this week was accused of joining forces with two other casino dealers from Maryland and Philadelphia in a Baccarat scheme which won the three men $23,500 over two nights.
While the local dealer was dealing cards at Encore Boston Harbor Casino, one of the other men was accused of exposing a number of playing cards, memorizing them, and marking them with a ‘bookmark’ card.
The third culprit was then contacted via cell phone and given the order of the playing cards, when both excused themselves to use separate bathrooms.
The casino stunt saw the three men raise $23,500 in winnings under the noses of Encore Boston Harbor’s dealers over the two nights. On Friday, the three men were indicted by a Middlesex County Grand Jury on cheating and conspiracy charges.
