Out of Louisiana’s 64 parishes, 55 of them voted in favour of legalising sports betting. The initial retail sportsbooks debuted about a year later. Sports betting online kicked off in january 2022. State legislation designated 41 sports betting apps, allowing for 16 commercial casinos, four racetracks, and the Louisiana Lottery to be funded.
