Joining an online casino in West Virginia for the first time can feel somewhat daunting, but in reality, the process is short, sweet, and to the point.
While some online casinos may have registration pages that are more streamlined, in the end, each online casino will ask for the same information.
Honestly, the different ways it is displayed are just to give off the impression that it is easier to register there than another online casino.
To start, you’ll always find the registration button in the upper right-hand corner of the respective online casino.
From here, you’ll find the process on either one page or spread across multiple steps.
Through these steps, you’ll be asked to provide or consent to the following:
Let’s discuss geolocation a bit more.
With geolocation, this is software used by the online casino to confirm your presence in the state. On top of needing to be 21 years of age to wager, you must be located within the borders of West Virginia—you do not need to be a resident.
The geolocation software is used to just make sure you’re in the state and it will only be used once per visit to the online casino.
Even though there are only five different online casinos in West Virginia, the game libraries can still differ slightly.
Most of the time, you’ll find the same online casinos games, but there could be more or fewer options from one game type to another or a particular title.
In all, these are the types of games you’ll find at online casinos in West Virginia.
The key reason why you’ll be at an online casino is to, well, make some money. On top of that, you’ll also need to deposit funds in order to be able to play games to make money.
Like the game library, methods that are available could differ from outlet to outlet, but in all, here are the methods we found to be available for deposits and/or withdrawals.
Banking/Payment Methods | Important Information |
Credit/Debit Cards | Visa and MasterCard are the most prevalent, but some also accept AMEX and/or Discover. |
ACH Transfer | ACH Transfer is an automatic transfer to your online account from your bank account. On top of this, most online casinos offer VIP Preferred, which is a program to assist with expedited ACH Transfers. |
Online Banking | Online Banking is somewhat like an ACH Transfer. However, the main difference is you will log into your bank account each time to complete a transaction. |
Play+ Card | Play+ Cards are one of the more handy ways to deposit and withdraw funds. These are cards similar to debit cards that are reloadable. These are given to you by the online casino themselves. For withdrawals, you can use the card at ATMs. |
PayPal | This is an online e-wallet service that can send funds to your account directly from your bank account. PayPal is often thought of as the most popular source for completing transactions at online casinos. |
Venmo | This is an online e-wallet alternative to PayPal, Skrill, and NETELLER. |
Wire Transfer | Wire Transfers are becoming less and less available, but you can do this either online or in-person at your bank. There are usually fees associated with high deposit and withdrawal minimums. |
Skrill | Skrill is an online e-wallet alternative to PayPal, Venmo, and NETELLER. |
NETELLER | NETELLER is an online e-wallet alternative to PayPal, Skrill, and Venmo. |
PayNearMe | PayNearMe is a cash transaction performed in person at retailers such as 7-Eleven, CVS, and Family Dollar. To start the process, you will choose your deposit amount, print out the barcode from the deposit page, and complete the transaction at the retailer. |
Cash Cage | Cash Cage is just another term for going to the land-based casino partner and performing transactions to fund your online account. For withdrawals, you will need to present an ID. |
